If anyone is directly affected find me on facebook or PM me (and let me know). Disasters are what I do for everyday life and while I don't have answers to all questions I know people that have many answers.

In Western MA and things are good. About 15,000 without power in our area, but no real reports of major flooding or damage. We still have power but a tree fell across our driveway. My parents live in RI and lost power, luckily my gradpa still has it!

Northeast PA- winds died down, many roads closed, trees down, small creek flooding. H and I are OK, lost a few shingles, some water in the basement, but it could have been much worse. 8 yo boy died near here when a tree fell through the roof.

Alot of damage here in CT, especially by the shoreline where my parents live. We lost power around 9:30p.m. last night and still didn't have it this morning. I'm at work today where there is power... hoping it's back on at home tonight but they said to be prepared for days without it so I'm not getting my hopes up. Our building didn't sustain any damage thankfully... just alot of big branches down. But theres quite a bit of damage in our town
At least no one I know was hurt, which I was really afraid of since most of my family and friends are on the shoreline or in NYC
Yuck... after faxing letters to our rental office about the leaks (which they know about) and calling to make sure they received the paperwork (I told them I want to have it in my file in case something happens with the unit and we have to leave), I received a call from the owner yelling at me that he doesn't need tenants who want to complaint and we should get out. Out by the end of the month. Fortunately for us, in Ohio, this is not allowed. I know this for sure because I work at a law firm that specializes in Landlord/Tenant issues. We are good tenants and we have always paid our rent on time.
This is ridiculous and totally upsets me! I need a drink! I am just scared they are going to try something, which would be totally illegal.

Thats crazy about the owner calling you to yell at you! My guess is he is just stressed and your not the first person to be after him about the leaks and he's overwhelmed. Not in his best intrest to piss off the good tenents though. I'm guessing this will pass, but its a good thing you know your rights just in case he does try and pull anything!

At least you have the resources at your disposal to help if he decides to be a jerk, but like Chica said.... he's like just stressed right out, and unfortunately the tenants are the ones who are going to have it taken out on them.

Well we good here...the tree across from our apartments fell...was a nice surprise this morning..but it was half dead so doesnt surprise me...thankfully no damage..my work lost power last night but got it back on before midnight..so sadly my sick but had to go into work even though I knew I should have called off for the 2nd day now but I wasnt smart...so now Im takin some meds and hittin the bed again..ugh...we did lose power this morning but its been back on already....so id say we got away good here...
