Job interview tomorrow - need help!
Hello everyone!
I'm a beginner copywriter (writing copy for advertisements and marketing) who's enrolled in a course and just making her start. I wrote a catchy cover letter and sent my resume to a local marketing firm after seeing an ad they had placed looking for a copywriter. Somehow, I managed to score an interview. It's tomorrow and I'm kinda freaking out. Here's why:
1. I just moved to the area a couple weeks ago and cannot find the flash drive that has my sample clips on it, not to mention my (bare) portfolio.
2. I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing because I don't know the ins and outs of the industry quite yet.
3. I'm terrified they won't like me as well in person.
4. I'm trying to think of what I have to offer over a more seasoned candidate, and am drawing a blank.
So, give me your thoughts - should I try to create a couple clips today just to take something in? How can I "fake it til ya make it" on this one, or should I even go that route? What can I do to boost my confidence? Any ideas on what a beginner might have to offer over a pro? And what, besides doing my research on the company and looking the part, can I do to fully prepare?
I don't want to give the impression that I suck (I think I actually have a knack for it, truly), but I feel at a disadvantage, you know?

Yeah, I think you should try to whip up some writing samples as best as you can in case they are expecting to see your work. Just try to be comfortable in your own skin.
