Recommend your (a) sewing machine
I am going to learn to sew. First things first I need a sewing machine.
My goals are:
--to be able to hem my own pants/skirts.
--Alter curtain panels
--make dog beds
I have no hopes or plans to make clothes or quilt, just the basics.
Can anyone recommend a sewing machine for a newbie?
TIA
Re: Recommend your (a) sewing machine
I had never sewn on a machine before I brought my Brother CS6000I. I went with it because it was digital. I was able to start sewing with little instruction. But it does have a ton of stitches I never use. They do have a cheaper 10 stitch machine. That might be more what your looking for.
Happy sewing
thank you, this looks like a great machine!!
I have Brother XL-3750 it is a free arm sewing machine which is very easy to use with quilting table and many more facilities.
