Dear Community,

Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I posted this on thebump too, but I'm not sure that board gets too much activity.
I live in Shaler near Ross/Babcock Blvd, and I work at Passavant Hospital. Needing suggestions for daycare somewhere in between. I've contacted Passavant children's house, Mt Alvernia, and Doodlebugs which is currently being built. Any suggestions? Thanks!

We go to Mt Nazareth Learning Center which is in west view off bellevue road. My kids have been there since 2005 with my oldest & we really like it.

There is also a kindercare by ross park mall, tendercare down further on mcknight by Big lots, vincentian which is a stone's throw from passavant (page egpitt for info).
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
I worked at Passavant when I had my oldest and just LOVED Julie K. (director) at Children's House and the staff - especially the baby room ladies. (Tell Julie that Clare says hello!) They are great b/c they are basically always open AND they offer sick childcare so that staff members don't have to lose time from work. (Or at least they offered it when I was there.) We had to change daycares b/c I changed jobs and, logistically, they were out of my commute path.
There is a daycare over at the intersection of... Duncan and ??? (By Luciano's, Apple Travel and the gas station - Sunoco maybe?) Also, ask Julie - since I'm sure you're on a wait list there; she can give you some recommendations.
Good luck!
My three sons!
Like bride2003 said, we use Vincentian and have been happy with them overall. My older son is currently in the preschool room and was also in toddler 3 there (we moved to Ross about 2 years ago, so that's the room he started in) and my younger son is almost 18 months, so he's been through infant 1, 2 and is now in toddler 1.
However, they are also closed Christmas through New Years, which you mentioned is a problem for you. Aside from that, they are only closed other major holidays (MLK, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving and day after)
Let me know if you want more information!
