Shoes
If you worked in a casual office with no real dress code, what kind of shoes would you wear every day? Let's also mention that if you wear anything with a heel you will be ridiculed and asked if you are going on an interview. And let's assume you hate ballet flats.

Boots!
I have some Born clogs and some Aerosoles. I hate ballet flats because I cannot find them to fit my narrowish feet.
I have ones kind of like these and these I only wear them with pants and have other shoes (heels or boots) that I wear on that rare occasion I wear a skirt or dress.

I know, I guess I was looking for specific examples and verification that some of the flats I think are cute are things other people would wear or consider! Sometimes I feel like my taste is weird.
I just got the best pair of brown (high) boots from Aerosoles. They're flat and super comfy.
To answer your original question - what about Toms? Or casual loafers? Or Sperry's (boat shoes)? I don't wear mine a ton, but they're definitely comfortable to wear all day.
Like SK - I have fake Ugg boots too, and they're fantastic...and cozy. I think I got them at Macy's.
I like boots. Especially taller boots. But I like the ones with little to no heel. I went to DSW recently specifically looking for low-heeled boots. I found a few. I prefer low heels because of how tall I already am and it is hard to find stuff I like in my size.
