s/o decals

If you remove them, do your walls look weird? Do they leave a film behind? Or change the paint color?

Re: s/o decals

  • I don't know about wall decals, but we had peel and stick dry erase board on one of our walls in the apartment (kind of the same thing, I guess), and yeah, when we took them down, the wall was a different color underneath where they were.

  • Not IME, though I suppose if you left them on for a very long time and your paint color faded from the sun you might still see the outline of the decal.

  • We have a wall decal above our door, and it won't leave a film. They're basically just vinyl material and they work by static cling.
We've had them up for a loooooong time in a sunny room on dark red paint and I've had no issues with fading (yet).

  • We had one on our bedroom wall in our old house, and we took them off before we moved with no issue.  Our walls were sort of a dark sage, and there was no mark.  It was the kind you take off with a hair dryer.

  • I've been purchasing wall decals from WallPops for years and have never ran into a problem with residue. Not sure what you are referring to with "s/o," but give WallPops a try.
