So H & I are hosting our first Thanksgiving! I feel like I've planned a good menu but H is less than helpful in telling me what his family will eat (no surprise there). So what do you ladies think? Is there enough variation/food?
Appetizers:
Shrimp Cocktail
Veggie Platter w/ dip
Cheese, Pepperoni, Crackers
Dinner:
Roast Turkey
Sausage & Sage Stuffing
Chorizo Stuffing
Hard Cider Gravy
Sweet Potato & Apple Gratin
Mashed Potatoes
Green Beans Almondine
Maple Glazed Carrots
Cranberry Sauce
Rolls
Dessert:
Apple Pie
Butterscotch Pie w/ Gingersnap Crust
Tollhouse Cookie Pie
Drinks
White Wine, Hard Apple Cider, Milk, Apple Juice, Diet Coke
I know when someone else posted their Thanksgiving menu a lot of you mentioned green bean casserole, but I've honestly never had it! Also, I realize it might be a bit odd to have two stuffings, but MIL's chorizo stuffing is H's favorite part of Thanksgiving, but I don't know how my family will feel about it, so I'm making a more traditional stuffing for the bird just in case.
Re: Your thoughts...our Thanksgiving menu
That sounds amazing, and I think you've got a great combo of foods!!
I've also never had/made green bean casserole but I LOVE green beans almondine so I think you should stick with that!
Can H and I come to Thanksgiving at your place??? lol

I think that it looks awesome! I want to eat at your house
I might be in the minority here but I hate green bean casserole. I love green beans alone so my mom always cooks some alone for me before she dumps them all into the casserole.
