Re: Meaningful Monday - 11/5/12

  • Michele- happy that you are back with power and hoping you are back in the "routine of things" thats a happy thing.

Also, just found out my two best friends are both pregnant, due 5 weeks apart! (more on this on another post) but that is really exciting for them!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend with the extra hour :)

  • I'm grateful that tomorrow is election day! I cannot wait for all the negativity surrounding politics to end.

I'm grateful for my SIL including me in her engagement/wedding news. I don't have a sister, and previously I haven't been close at all with either of DH's sisters. But the older of the 2 got engaged last month, and she's started texting and emailing me with pictures of her ring, dress shopping, etc. It's really nice.

I'm grateful that I only have 7 weeks left of work. And at most 9 weeks left of being pregnant. The end is near.

I am grateful for DH. He's done a great job dealing with my crazy the past week. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding money, and combine that with this much-more-emotional-than-last-time pregnancy and I'm sure I have not been easy to live with lately since we've had a few big $$ surprises pop up. It feels good to be able to work together and figure things out, and he's great at reminding me that even if it feels like we're poor, we aren't actually poor. This is what emergency funds are for, and we will re-grow them soon enough.

  • I am grateful for impromptu dance parties around my house. Even better when the music is from my childhood, and my kids love it on their first listen!

I am thankful for afternoon movies, snuggles with my children, and a sleeping kitten purring on my lap.

I am grateful to have a loving husband who works hard at a job he doesn't always like, which enables me to be home with my kids.

  • I'm grateful that we were able to get gas close by tonight, and at a fairly reasonable price. Not true for so many people in my area right now.

I'm grateful for my job. If I say that enough times I might not hate writing a brief at 10:30 pm b/c my boss blew a deadline and i've been working like a maniac all day.

I'm SO grateful daycare is going back to full hours tomorrow. only working until 3pm does NOT work on a trial prep week AT ALL.

I'm grateful for the right to vote tomorrow.

I'm grateful for power, hot water, and heat. And hoping Wednesday's storm doesn't take any of those away again.
