Question- moms of boys

For the past few nights we've been having issues with Joey soaking out his diaper, pjs, crib. We use Pampers cruisers. Anyone else have this issue. I've heard it's common but never experienced it with Sue- and I'm also kinda surprised because I always thought Pampers were good. He's been such a good sleeper- I really don't want to wake him to change his diaper. So any recs for overnights? A diaper switch?

ps) I all but forgot about the actual board! First time I posted in here in ages!

Re: Question- moms of boys

  • We have always used Pampers Baby Dry (the 12 hour ones) at night and have been really happy with them. The past few nights, T has woken up soaked but I think it is because he will only sleep on his tummy lately.

  • I should also add that I didn't point him downwards...completely my fault :(

  • We use the pampers baby dry and rarely have leaks. But, we used to all the time. I found that him sleeping in a onsie under his pj's was the culprit. So if he wears one to bed, try not and see what happens.
  • I have a girl and use Select Kids Booster Pads Diaper Doubler from Amazon.  They will probably be useful for boys as well.  I add them to my daughter's pampers at night and it has solved the problem.
  • I also use the Pampers Baby Dry and actually started for that exact reason. We very rarely soak through anymore and E pees A LOT overnight.

  • I have a girl, but she pees so much as night that I started using the Pampers Overnights and haven't had any issues since.

  • I can only use the pampers overnights at night or RJ soaks though for some reason. We use the baby dry sometimes but they dont hold up for him at night as well as the overnights.

  • Hi, I have had the same problem. No luck so far with any of the overnites by any brand. I bought a small box of huggies little movers in a size larger than usual. There seems to be more padding on the top waistband area for that "boy area'. Also, tried limited his liquids after 5pm and so far so good.

  • i put Anthony in a pampers night time diaper at 7:00... it holds alot more than a regular type. since we started doing this, he sleeps through the night and seems to be more comofortable.. good luck :)

  • C pees right through the Papers 12 hour diapers. The only overnights that work well are the Huggies Overnights and I go up a size. Good luck :)
  • We used to use the pampers cruisers ultra (I could only find them at BJs). They were a 12 hr diaper and A hardly ever soaked through.

We used both the Huggies and Pampers overnight diapers (whatever was on sale) and ALWAYS one size up. It was rare that we ever had a problem. We started around 6-8 months. GL

  • thanks ladies!  i would have never thought about going a size up.  i think i will try what's on sale in overnights a size up and see how it goes.  if not those amazon things look interesting.  thanks again!

  • I use Huggies overnights and go up one size, but sometimes that doesn't work. I have now put a waterproof diaper cover on him (the kind you use for cloth diapers) too. We will see how long that works. I'm also running out of ideas.  I have tried all other brands and like Huggies the best for overnights.

  • Pampers overnights are what we use.  I just ran out and I have had soaking through with both kids in AM.  I use cruisers during the day.  I never did size up.

Is it sad that C needs to move up to size 5 where Jack is still swimming in size 4??
