weekly book post

I started Summer Blowout by Claire Cook and am liking it.  I am also learning a lot about the salon, hair, and make up industry.  Her books always are educational in some way through what a character does or goes through.  One was about movie sets, one was about cooking and world cuisine, and one was about lavendar farms!

Re: weekly book post

  • I am reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone right now.  I am loving it.  It is sort of ya/fantasy/romance.  It is very different!  The second book in the series comes out this week.

  • I just finished "Where We Belong" by Emily Giffin and I really liked it.  It was an easy, entertaining read.  The whole storyline was pretty unbelievable but it was still a good book.

Not sure what I'll be reading next it depends on what our book club chooses for this month.  The top three on the list are:

When in Doubt, Add Butter by Beth Harbison

    The Racketeer by John Grisham

Back to Blood by John Wolfe

  • I am slowly listening to Beauty Queens on my commute. My commute is short (10-15 minutes) so it's been 2 weeks and I'm still on Part 3.

Actual book wise, I'm reading Remember Me by Christopher Pike. I never read his books when I was younger but this one is pretty good so far.
