May the phone stop ringing, the commercials stop annoying... get out and vote!!
Re: Happy Election day!
Word!
I got home to 5 VMs on our home phone. We maybe get one a week when not election time. NUTS I tell you.
Yea, I have resorted to answering all the calls just to prevent the voicemails from piling up. Our home phone never rings this much.
Amen sister! I will be so happy to see commercials for cars and junkfood tomorrow!
I will kind of miss all of my celebrity friends that keep calling me though. Oh, and every freakin' member of Tom Smith's family. :P

18 voicemails yesterday. Thank you union for having random "teachers" calling us to tell who to vote for. Yesterday included a second call from Bob Barker, Clint Eastwood, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, the RNC, the DNC.
I have to vote after work since the line was ridiculous this morning. I have never waited in the 12 years we have lived there.
Yes, the polls are open until 8.
Mandy, Noah will be crushed if Obama doesn't win. He's so in to presidents, and thinks Barack is the bomb-diggity. He even wrote in his school journal last year that he wished he was his uncle so he could visit the White House all of the time.
Cute!
I like her rational
We were going to take the kids with us this morning, but I'm glad we didn't. We waited in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and I was only voter #152. The place just couldn't get both lines running consistently and smoothly.
I was just wondering last night why campaigns even waste money on fliers anymore? Is anyone really swayed by a one pager they get in the mail along with 10 other fliers?? Seems like a waste of time and money to me.

Oohhhhhh is that what all the hooplah is about - election day?!
I'm totally expecting a long line tonight, so I may have to go home with the kids and wait for DH to get home and then go back out at like 7:30.
My three sons!
from you lips to God's ear! I can't handle the phone calls anymore.
no sticker here either but I did have to wait in line for 15 minutes - first time ever.
Mandy - Caileigh also voted for Romney b/c he hasn't had a chance yet. And Tom Smith.
Who else thinks we still won't know tomorrow who won? I'm thinking its going to be a long night & lots of confusion.
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
Sheila - I saw you leaving SJN! I was in line to vote and you were leaving. (I had to vote there because although I have updated my info at least twice, I am still registered to vote in FP.)
I think there is a good chance we won't know until tomorrow. I'm going to see Madonna tonight, so it will be interesting to see how she pulls the election into it.
Oh God - I think for this reason alone, I'm glad I'm not going to her concert!
The media keeps speculating that there will be a clear winner decided by tonight, but I don't know. Apparently, if I heard it correctly this morning, NH already came back as a tie - first time ever in an election. So, I agree, between those results and the fact that NJ is allowing fax/email votes (which, I totally get, but also scares me on how they're going to regulate it), I think it will be tomorrow....
My three sons!
Clare - It's no real secret which way I lean, but even I am already cringing thinking about some of the things she might say!
I think that was just the first small towns in NH that reported and completed their voting at midnight last night. Not the entire state. Last I saw on the state of NH was that 1% of the results were reporting and it was like 65/33 split between obama and romney They won't start calling states until the polls close later tonight (after 7pm)
I am curious about the email voting too but from what I understand they use the same form they would with the fax, and have to scan it before e-mailing. Then I assume there is some validation process with the form against the voter registration records. This process is used already, they just expanded it due to the disaster.
My three sons!
well it is a slow work day, and i really like correcting people. hahaha.
And I totally understand, but it would have been more fun if you had taken my correction personally and unfriended me on FB.
You just made me
Nah - I'm a glutton for punishment - and watching train wrecks. And "keeping up with the Joneses".
I'll just hide you if you bug me!
My three sons!
For real. The Pittsburgh Nest of 2008 would have been exploding for weeks at this point.
And Meghan-I'm pretty sure I read somewhere a few weeks back that Madonna said she'd strip if Obama wins, so you might get a bonus section of her show tonight, depending on how things go and if the results are in on time!

I feel like it would be more shocking for Madonna if she put a bunch of clothes ON instead of taking them off.
