DH is getting out of work early and we are going to go vote. I'm ready for this to be over. I'm sick of seeing and hearing all of the excessive political news. But like years past I'm not looking forward to the B*tching by some that follows the results.[Poll]

TTGP Blog - A Good Read!
I can't vote this year. It's my fault for not being more aware of deadlines. After two failed attempts at the DMV to get my new license, I finally changed my residency to FL... 2 days after the deadline to register for this election.
I got a letter a few days ago explaining my voter registration card is being held until after the election.
I'm jealous of those that hardly had a wait! We (at least around here) live in a county with open voting so you can vote anywhere in the county. DH's sister called us from the place she was at (at 6:45am yesterday) and said she got in line around 6 and still had a long way to go. So we ended up somewhere else, where the line was out the door - and it was like 30 some degrees - brrr!! It ended up taking about 45 minutes, which was actually pretty quick compared to the other people I talked to.

So that's why there's such long lines on TV. My only long wait was for the woman to find my name!
Wow. Even with a line I've never waited that long. The most was 15 minutes when I lived in Austin. We got lucky here in Houston where we live. Our designated voting location is so dead that there is always a booths open. That does su*k you had to wait it out in the cold.
