Once Upon A Time - 10/28 *Spoilers*
I know it was a Halloween episode, but I was a little disappointed in where the story went with Dr. Whale. He was SUCH a mystery for me and I really didn't think he was going to turn into Dr. Frankenstein. I love this show so much, but this past weeks episode kind of took a turn off from it's normal path and I didn't love it
.
I am loving Hook though, and excited for the Giant/beanstalk episode next week!

Me too. I was let down when I found out he was Dr. Frankenstein.

I actually sort of liked that he was Dr. Frankenstein. It was a little out there and seemed to veer off from how the story has been going but I liked it.
I'm curious about Regina seeing Archie for therapy. That could be a good story line.
And I really like Hook too. The giant/beanstalk story should be good.
I don't like Aurora but I think I'm the only one. lol.
I don't NOT like Aurora, but I don't necessarily like/care for her either. Maybe if they did an episode that shows more of her exact backstory so we get to know her more/feel for her I'd like her better.
I liked how they weaved the Dr. Frankenstein story into everything. That's the cool think about Once Upon a Time.
I like knowing about Hook's back story. Having him mixed into the Jack and the Beanstalk story is interesting. Who do you think "Jack" is ? ( his name could be different ) Didn't Rumple's son have some magic beans too?
Auroar, I think they will have to, or they're going to give a backstory to Aurora. It'll hopefully help us like her better. Right now she gets on my nerves, but when we find out more I'm thinking that will change.
I also liked the Frankenstein bit. That he was from a different land and that his science was more powerful than magic. That was neat.
As soon as Hook called Rumple a crocodile I knew who he would be. I like guessing who these new characters will end up being. I was guessing Frankenstein when they talked about Daniel being his monster.
I actually like Frankenstein because it opens up so many more "lands/worlds" to choose from. They can even go into kids books, like "where the wild things are"
I liked the Frankenstein twist, too! I guessed who he was by the middle of the episode. This weekend should be super interesting with Jack and the Beanstalk. It's opening things to a lot more characters.
I'm interested to see who Capt Hook ends up staying loyal to: either Coral or Emma, Snow, Aurora, and Mulan. He's not a very trustworthy character so it would be interesting to see if he's setting them up for Coral or really helping them out.
I thought the episode was really good. Although I was wondering if maybe they were going with the Wizard of Oz route with the Dr by calling him a Wizard and I could have sworn his jacket was green and Jefferson mentioned something about a slipper; however him being Dr. Frankenstien was really interesting and like someone else mentioned, opened up a whole new world of " where did he come from ?" Who knows, with this show he could be both Dr. Frankenstein and the Wizard of Oz.
I just love having Capt. Hook in the picture. Introducing him means there is a possibility they will introduce Peter Pan. Could Balfour be Peter Pan ? Was that him in NYC in the season opener ? Did Tinkerbelle send him the " Broken" note ?
Ahhhhh so many questions.
This is definately my favorite show. I unfortunately still have 1 more to watch until I am caught up.
I also thought that Dr. Whale was going to be the wizard from the Wizard of Oz. But maybe you're right, stw, and he will be both. You never know!
And whoever mentioned about Rumple's son having magic beans, I think you're right!
Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney movie, and I was excited about Aurora, but I just find her ok.
Why did Dr. Whale go to Rumple at the end of the show and ask to have his arm reattached. Did I miss something?
Because that was the point he realized that magic worked.
