The countdown is on....Black Friday is just around the corner!

Where are my fellow shoppers?  Some ads are starting to be leaked:

Walmart is doing an interesting guarantee on a few items this year (a TV, an iPad, and something else...a laptop maybe?) where they will have it in stock or you'll receive a voucher for the item to receive it before Christmas.

For those looking for a Leap Pad, walmart will have it for $65 that day.

so, who's heading out that day?  What are you hoping to find?

  • Lol, I just posted about their Nabi deal! I'm not planning on going out for much since we're getting Faith that tablet...but might go out for a bit that day

  • I chose to work that day. I'm not a Black Friday shopper, so even if I'm off that day - I usually don't go out. I prefer Cyber Monday. ;)

  • we don't get up crazy early or anything, but we do go to breakfast and hit up Target later in the AM / early PM.   I swear my Target is a hidden gem and it's never crowded.   it's always fun to be out and about (except at the malls... that scares me),

I always save the malls until later.  I'll be with my MIL and SIL this year, when I'm with them, we usually do Target, Kohls and maybe walmart depending on what they have.  Then we usually take a breakfast/brunch break and hit up the mall if we have energy left.  When I go with my mom (every other year, we rotate thanksgivings with our families), we go to Tanger outlets (which is a ghost town if you go around 5am, since they open the night before, it's great!) then Target and Kohls.

    I love that Target.

My sister works at the mall and she says it is just ridiculous. The last 3 years she worked at Abercrombie and she said it was insane. Now she works at J.Crew but she is going to New York for Thanksgiving so she won't have to work. She says the worst part is how people act all crazy and just throw things around but when you ask if they need a size they tell you no.

  • I'm the same... I'll venture out to my hometown stores (Walmart, Target, Kmart) but I fear any real shopping centers. I did go to TRU last year and it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't really worthwhile either so I won't go there again.
  • We do!  We're looking for a TV and I just got the Sam's ad emailed to me, and I might send Walt out at 5am.  My mom, aunt, cousins and I usually go shopping, but we will maybe meet at 7am.  We go wherever the ads take us...sometimes Target, Big Lots, the malls.   It all just depends!

HA, that is so perfectly worded.

I used to work retail, through a few christmas seasons.  I avoid stores until January if possible.

  • Saraaaaaaaah-where areeeeeeee youuuuuuuuu?????  I know you have a plan already.

  • I doubt I will go out. I actually offered my babysitting services to SIL who loves to go. Then I get my baby fever fufilled while she shops. Ha.
  • I might have to hit Best Buy - Ayden wants an XBox 360 and they have a bundle for $199 - unless I can find it somewhere else cheaper online!  I used to love going, not sure what happened to me.
  • You know I'm all over it!! I'm still formulating the plan, because I can't pick store #1 until I see Kohls vs. Target. They're usually 1 and 2. The little one switches things up by throwing Toys R Us into the mix, but I'm hoping to avoid it completely until he's a little older and wants those 'must have' items. As of now I'm liking 1. Target/Kohls 2. whichever one I didn't start with 3. Ross Park Mall, but this can all change.

I stinkin love Black Friday!! :)
