Re: Free for All Friday ~ 11/9/12
going to visit a friend on Long Island tomorrow-Sunday, and now have to fill up when we arrive b/c of odd/even gas rationing so we won't be able to get gas out there on Sunday. Feeling so lucky that, so far, our county hasn't gone to gas rationing.... yet. All of the surrounding areas have, it's crazy.
On the same topic - on Tuesday I was out running errands for work stuff - saw 5 closed gas stations (had power but no gas) and the open ones were charging $4.59/gallon for gas. Ridiculous.
I hate money.
I wish I could be a SAHM. I'm tired of losing so much sleep and having so much stress b/c of other people's problems. I'd like to focus on the home front for a while.

I hate my OBs office. But I really like my OB. But I haven't actually seen her in 3 weeks, won't see her for another 4... if this trend keeps going, I'm finding a new practice.
I spent 2.5 hours in L&D last night. After the 3rd canceled appointment with my regular OB, I saw a different one last night for a "routine" appointment. Except my BP was 130/80 instead of the usual 110/65. Cue the pre-e bloodwork and NST. I learned many things while I was there. 1: I hate being in L&D and not in the throws of labor. 2: I still hate Gail, the nurse that taught the childbirth class before DS. If I ever go back there and she is my nurse, I will be requesting someone different. 3: Baby is transverse. 4: Having my blood pressure taken when the lab tech walks in to draw my blood makes it even higher. 5: Actually being allowed to calm down lowered my BP to 120/70, baby is doing great, and my bloodwork was normal. Here's hoping it was a freak incident and I don't get any more high readings.
I am seeing a chiropractor for the first time in a very long time next Tueday. Really helping it hopes my aches and pains and gets this baby to flip. (Sorry for all the baby related stuff today... it's really on my mind.)
I'm excited to finish painting in DS's new room this weekend and start setting up his furniture.
I am also excited that the weather is supposed to be nice for the entire 3-day weekend.
Dropped off some Halloween candy that my kids gave up (they traded me for a Tinkerbell movie) today. So nice having it out of the house!
I'm looking forward to the new Disney Junior show (movie?) Sophia the First. It will be nice seeing something new, and I know my daughter is going to love it! My son will too
We've been having daily dance parties while waiting for DH to come home. It's an album I grew up with, by Greg & Steve, and is so fun hearing the kids sing along! Their favorite songs were the ones I loved back then.
finally got my flu shot! ouch!
I'm painting my nails tonight. Not earth shattering for most, I realize, but I have some new products to try out and i'm hoping to actually have pretty nails for more than 2 hours....
I can' twait for tonight's pizza - chicken, bacon artichoke w/ carmelized onion. Spin on a fave papa murphy's pizza I used to love. I miss papa murphys.
My kids are all excited to help me go through their toys and give the ones they don't use much to kids who need them. Makes me smile.
Don't fret over BP yet Amy - mine was high once with my first and it was just a fluke thing that day. hope yours stays normal!
the sound of beer fermenting in my dining room is driving me crazy. must turn on music.

Michele, I am drooling over the thought of your pizza... But, I bet you could have guessed that without me saying so!
Oh, and let me know how your nails come out! I haven't bought any of those basecoat or topcoat products yet, but they are in my Amazon wishlist, just in case!
Amy, I had one fluke high BP during one of my pregnancies too. The stresses of the BS they had me putting up with in the office on that particular day (losing my registration info, lost my paperwork, shuffled me around between three rooms and the waiting room before finally taking my pressure may have had something to do with it). Hope it's just a fluke for you!
