Question of the Day

The board has been slow lately so I thought it would be fun to have a Question of the Day. Just something to add a little more aciton to the board.

What is the one thing that you would persue if you knew that you would not fail at it?

Re: Question of the Day

  • Singing, I LOVE to sing and do so often at the expense of family...hahah. I am not a horrible singer (I can stay on key), but don't have a beautiful singing voice either, so I tend to sing cheesy songs/kids songs that don't have to sound good.
  • Landscape and nature photography... I love it I'm just a horrid business woman and hate asking people for money :-)

  • Acting ...I always wanted to be an actress lol
"Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly"
  • A Wedding Planning business... I had so much fun planning our wedding that I'd love to be able to do it all the time (and not have the stress of it being MY wedding, lol)

  • Medical school.  It's not that I think I would fail at it, it's just the expense, time and the residency.  I would be in school/training another 10+ years and just starting to practice at age 45+, it's just not worth it.

  • You know what's kind of weird? I wish I appreciated music more. I have ZERO musical talent via any medium, and I have hardly any appreciation for music. I just don't get it.  I can sit in a car for 2 hours in complete silence and not realize the radio isn't on. I only turn it on for a talk radio show, and I turn it off when I start my car to music. I always said I would adjust beautifully to becoming deaf, but I wish I got what all the hype was about.

  • High risk, but high profit, investment banking.  Not sure if that means I'm greedy because it was the first thing that came to mind, or just content with what "abilities" that I currently have =]

Same! Or any part of event planning really. I think it would be a really fun field to be in.

  • I've always (since I was 10) wanted to own a sweets store - candy, cupcakes, cookies. Lately, I've thought that Mackinaw City would be the perfect location since it has such a high volume of tourists in the spring/summer. If only the risks of owning a business weren't so high.... I can still dream.

  • DH and I have actually tossed around the idea of opening our own small business/restaurant.   I've always wanted to have my own restaurant, and he's always wanted his own business, but it's so expensive to get started and it's a HUGE risk, especially since we're trying to make a baby now.
  • I'd love to own my own restaurant or a bakery...thats my dream! But i know that I'd need a good chunk of $ to start something like that and we don't have it right now. Maybe someday I'll win the lottery and have the extra cash to do it!

  • Hubby would answer he wants to start his own business.  He is so tired of his job right now that he has been planning and dreaming of opening his own business.

Mine would be to open my own bridal store.  The one and only here in our town ended up treating me so awful.  I'm one of those people that says, if I have a crummy experience, what can I do to ensure someone else doesn't too - so naturally I want to open a beautiful bridal store that really helps brides through all the craziness of the wedding process (as we all know too well!).

Now....if I could just win the lottery!!

  • I'm in grad school for counseling and would love to open a private practice someday.  In the past, this didn't appeal to me (I always wanted to stay within an agency for a variety of reasons) but lately the thought of working for myself has seemed more and more ideal.  If I do it, it'll be years.  First I have to graduate, then get the proper licensure, and start on the journey to do this.
  • I would become a photographer or a chef. I love both but was always afraid growing to hate taking pictures or cooking and not being able to find a steady job.
