I need to start talking about Thanksgiving and need your ideas. Let's start with apps. I will do a veggie dip and I wanted to try a hot dip? Thinking of the slow cooker spinach and artichoke dip. I pulled a couple recipes and not sure which one to use.
Are you doing apps? What are you making? Do you have a good, easy hot dip recipe?
TIA!
Re: Foodies
I make an artichoke dip in the crock pot every Christmas Eve - it is a huge hit.
Creamy Artichoke Parm Dip
2 cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
2 cups shredded mozz cheese
1.5 cups grated parm cheese
1.5 cups mayo (I use olive oil mayo to cut fat)
.5 cup finely chopped onion
.5 tsp dried oregano
.5 tsp garlic powder
Combine everything and cook on high for 1-2 hours (depending on the size of your crock pot - mine is smaller so it takes longer). Serve with pita wedges and cut up veggies.
My little nuggets
Thank you guys! Right now, there are 13 guests, could be 16 though.
Kernel, that sounds good!
a spin-off of Kernal's baked brie, brie bites. place phyllo dough in a mini muffin pan, a slice of brie and the other ingredients Kernal mentioned. I've been wanting to try this, I'm thinking this TGD will be the year I make them.
Also, I pinned a jalapeno popper dip.
