Puppy Classes - Rockland County Area
Hi everyone,
We adopted a puppy about 5 weeks ago and are starting to look into group classes for socialization and basic obedience. We will most likely attend one class at Petsmart in Nanuet because we have a free session, but are also interested in Petco (Nanuet) and Canine Coachng based out of New City/Chestnut Ridge. Any feedback would be great! TIA

We used Nancy from People Training for Dogs in Valley Cottage,

We trained with her for a few years . Training makes such a difference with dogs, I can't stress it enough! She has smaller class sizes and her own studio. I think my dogs would be too distracted to actually learn anything at a place like Petsmart.
ETA: we started off with 1 dog in her puppy classes, and now she is a Therapy Dog.
My parents used Canine Coaching about...6-7 years ago. I took their dog to a few classes. It was great. It was essentially 'puppy kindergarten', with play time and everything. My parents still use many techniques that were taught in that class with their dog today.
