Does anyone do any DIY stuff for Christmas gifts? I see a ton of ideas on Pinterest, but I never think to do anything since I"m not sure if people would really want any DIY gifts....
Have any of you ladies ever DIY'd a gift that someone really liked? Anything you're planning on DIYing for the holidays?

Re: DIY Christmas Gifts?
I only DIY gifts if I know the recipient will appreciate it. Like, my mom knows how much work goes into something I do, so I like to make her things, but my brother is clueless, so he gets a Best Buy gift card or something. lol
I knitted my mom a scarf a couple years ago and she really loves it and wears it all the time. She says she gets compliments on it at work, but sometimes I think she's just saying that. haha
My mom does cross stitch and made me a baby blanket for my first baby and I absolutely love it, it's awesome!
I'm not doing any DIY gifts this year because we're still unpacking from our move and everything is chaos.
I might try to do our Christmas cards, but we'll see.

I tend not to DIY Christmas gifts (besides the cookies/bars thing) because I honestly think I don't have a creative bone in my body.
Except one year H and I made message boards for our family out of tiles. They turned out really neat and everyone still uses them - but they were a lot of work. Everyone that sees them says we should go into business making them, but I'm fairly certain we'd go bankrupt in the first year!
I bake cookies/nuts/candies and put them in tins. And, I make our holiday cards online. Not sure if those count, but that is the extent of my DIY!
One time, I made personalized wine glasses for my friends. I think they liked them enough, but having one mismatched wine glass with puffy paint on them is not everyone's idea of a perfect gift!
In general though, I think people like homemade gifts and apprciate the effort.
We generally DIY something for aunts/ uncles/ cousins and in addition to what we give our immediate family... One year I knitted scarves for EVERYone (it ended up being like 30 of them), last year we made limoncello.
This year we're doing this for cousins and siblings:

And this for aunts/ uncles, moms/ dads, grandparents:

And honestly, I don't really care if they aren't in love with what we make them because we aren't super close to our extended family- Whatever we give (bought or made) will be kind of a crapshoot. At least when we DIY something it usually is under 10 bucks a gift so I don't feel like we're wasting money, and if nothing else people appreciate the effort you put into the gift.
Oh yeah, I love doing the edibles! I have two pages in a notebook full of edible Christmas gifts, but I didn't think of that when I thought "DIY"
I always do some sort of treat or something for my co-workers and friends and family.

I don't but only because I'm about as crafty as a toaster oven.
One of H's cousins does a lot of DIY stuff and it always turns out really beautiful.
