flight is booked!

I apologize for taking over the most recent posts, ha.  (Can you tell I've been bored at work...)

Anyway, we booked our flights to Orlando for our Disney World trip!  I am so excited - DH, not so much.  He doesn't think he'll have fun.  I'm determined to prove him wrong!

We haven't booked the hotel yet - still trying to decide.  We may end up going with the Fort Wilderness Lodge!

We leave in 75 days!  Woohoo!

Re: flight is booked!

  • Woo hoo!!!  Work is beginning to slow down, so I'll be on more during the day.  So, I'll need company!! :-)  I would love to go to Disney World!  I can't wait to go back - the last time I went was in 4th grade!  But, once we make this down payment on this house tomorrow - we won't be going anywhere for awhile! :-)  Or at least until our current house is rented!

  • I went to Orlando for work several years back. A friend happened to be in Disney at the same time with her extended family. We met at Pleasure Island one evening -- Disney World for adults, woo hoo. It was so much fun!!

  • You guys are going to have a great time! DH and I go almost every year since his parents have a condo near Orlando. Our favorite park is Epcot the rides, places to eat, plus they serve alcohol if you'd like to partake! We also did Animal Kingdom last year for one day and loved it! The safari is really neat. Also the best place to watch the fireworks in Epcot is either the Rose and Crown Pub or Italy, make sure to get there early especially if you are there on a weekend because the Rose and Crown will fill up quickly.

Ah I love Disney!! Have a great time!!

  • Yes, definitely go see the light/fireworks show at Epcot. It is my favorite!
  • Woo Hoo!! Disney!

I have never stayed at Fort Wilderness but I have walked around the lodge area and it's nice. I know the camp ground has a camp fire sing along or something. I think they do horse back riding there too.

We really like Fantasmic at MGM Studios. It is great! I also love Epcot. It's one of the more adult oriented parks. You can do drinking around the world at the Epcot World showcase (and eat all the yummy local food). You can end the drinking tour at Canada and watch illuminations.

    Have fun!

  • YAY!!!

The two things I would recommend that you do are go to the extra magic hours for both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. At Animal Kingdom go on the Safari and Expedition Everest first. The waits for both were over an hour after the park opened to all the guests.

At Hollywood Studios there is a new Toy Story ride. It's like an arcade game. It's really awesome and super popular. So get fast passes ASAP. Because even when you're just getting in with the other Disney resort guests the wait will still be crazy. The lines were over 2 hours for the regular wait pretty much all day the day we were there.
