So, while I was perusing eBay a few weeks ago, I came across a lot of 4 Paul McCartney records advertised in "near mint" and "excellent" condition. Both H and my mom are big fans and so I figured I would pick them up and include with their Christmas gifts, it was a good deal.
I received a message from the seller the day he sent them out letting me know he had done so and let him know if there's any other albums I'm looking for because he has tons of them.
So yesterday I arrived home from work and noticed a square box on the dining room table. Sweet! H was at work and the kiddo was napping so after MIL left I went to open the box.
I would like to give you a visual tour of this experience. I tried to resize these but I don't think it was successful, so sorry, but this is worth it:
Yay, the records came!
Hmm, some newspaper on top, looks all good:
A note from the seller:
(none of these records were "near mint")
Some more newspaper, I'll throw it in the recycling...
CHRIST ON A CRACKER!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for repurposing, but who sends supposed near mint records (or anything for that matter) in a used pizza box? With PIZZA REMNANTS STILL IN IT?!?!???!?!
This has been a very bad eBay week for me.
And in case you don't believe me, it really is the box he shipped them in, as pictured below...
Re: Tomfoolery! (Y'all NEED to see this)
Woah! How professional is that?! My parents and siblings really like eBay. I never got into it. The only thing I got from there was some origami paper once.
Are the albums even playable?
OMG!!
First of all - that sucks that they weren't in the condition they said.
Second - he writes a note, like he's done a great job.
Third - a pizza box!? I have never considered repurposing a pizza box! That is really funny, well kinda sad and funny at the same time.
Wow.

Thank goodness for feedback. No "A++++++++++++" for this guy.
Ya know, funny thing is, when I picked it up, I said to myself "Hmm, this looks suspiciously exactly like a pizza box. I wonder if where he gets fresh ones from. I've bought many records online and no one has ever sent them like that, albeit it the perfect size. I even thought to myself "He couldn't have possibly...no. No one would ever do that."
I stand corrected.
I saw this on Pinterest just now and thought your eBay seller might want to get into this side of things as well:
