Buying a home which is being sold by owner...any advice
We are currently looking into a home that is in the process of being renovated. The seller would like to do it without realtors. Please tell me everything I need to know and what I will need to do.
Re: Buying a home which is being sold by owner...any advice
I agree with OP. Get a good real estate attorney. For Sale by owners can be great deals since there is no commission involved but you also need to do your homework since you won't have a realtor to help you with this.
FYI: Many lenders will not do mortgages on homes that are currently under construction and renos fall into this category.
Get an inspection. BBB and ASHI certified with photographs. Expect to pay about $350-$600.
You should do more homework to buy that property without any problem and but you can just take advise from any agent without involving him into your deal.
