In the (fictional) book I'm reading a highschool student is doing an experiment in Science class. There are 2 terrariums of flatworms. 1 terrarium is taught to assocaite a beam of light (from a flashlight) with being fed (a la Pavlov's dog). The 2nd terrarium is just fed normally. After the first terrarium is trainined fully the worms from that terrarium are ground up and fed to the 2nd terrarium and all the sudden the worms in the second terrarium associate a beam of light with being fed.
Obviously this is a fictional book but I googled quickly and found a few pages that said this indeed happens, most cited flatworms knowing how to solve a maze after being fed other flatworms that knew the solution.
Re: Something interesting I read
no way?! thats craziness. I mean logically it makes no sense.
If I eat a really smart human, it wouldn't make me smarter....or would it?
The Rowdy Roberts
That's gross, but I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't been tried (maybe overseas). People donate their bodies to science...
I do not proclaim it to be fact!
