Can we talk about renting my house out? I know you mentioned when you were over awhile back that that's something you do. What are the benefits to having an agency do it...vs. doing it myself?

Yep! That is what I do full-time
(and some home sales but DH does more sales than me)
There are lots of benefits to using an agency. Quick summary...you don't have to be emotionally involved, you don't collect rent, you don't get those calls in the middle of the night if something breaks. We qualify the tenants (credit, housing history, criminal, income, employment, etc). And most important...we know the laws. Best part - you simply enjoy getting the checks each month.
