Update to my barely there accident
Offered the guy $200 and he was all "No no no, my wife really wants the bumper fixed."
So, I told him that after he got the bumper fixed at the place where the estimate took place, and provided me photographic evidence of the new bumper (and that I also wanted to view the bumper in person) that I would write the BODY SHOP a check because, that's how my insurance company does it. In fact, I told him that really I would prefer going to see "my guy" for an estimate just to make sure everything is "kosher" because, legally, he was required to get three estimates.
He is going to call me back tonight. My. This has gotten interesting.
Re: Update to my barely there accident
Exactly. If I were in his shoes (and not shady) I would be wary of going to "your guy" but I would just file an insurance claim if I didn't like your terms.
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
My pet peeve is when a MAN blames something on his wife. "Well, MY WIFE wants to get it fixed..." or "Well, MY WIFE will be mad if I don't call the cops."
Man the *** up and grow a pair. You are a TOOL for blaming this sh!t on your wife and if that is REALLY how it is then get control of your household, son.
