My mom was so proud to share that little gem with me.
Mom: Do you know what today is?
Me: Thursday?
Mom: Today is SH!T!
Me: *blink* *blink blink*
Mom: So Happy It's Thursday!
And now I giggle every time someone says it's Thursday.
Anyway, I have 15 minutes of work, and it can't finish soon enough. Tonight I have to get everything ready for our 'Friends Thanksgiving' on Saturday because tomorrow night, H is taking me out for a date night!
So it's pretty much a good thing he didn't make it to the finals in the Taco Eating Contest he was in yesterday, or our date night would have consisted of him shoving more tacos in his face haha.
There is absolutely no point to most of this, I just really wanted to enlighten you all with the exclamation that today is SH!T!!!
Also, help! I am dying to use the triple slow cooker we got for the wedding, and so I need 3 slow cooker thanksgiving recipes. So far, with H's turkeys and other people's offerings, our menu looks like this:
2 Fried Turkeys (different flavors)
1 Smoked Turkey
Stuffing
Cranberry Sauce
Green Bean Casserole
Sweet Potatoes
Mashed Taters
1 Appetizer
2 Desserts
I am not sure what the apps or desserts will be, but I was thinking of doing cheese and crackers in addition. I think someone's bring a Spinach and Artichoke dip also?
I don't know. I need ideas. Help, please! ![]()

Hehe, that made me giggle!
Here are some Thanksgiving slow cooker recipes: http://www.southernliving.com/food/holidays-occasions/thanksgiving-slow-cooker-side-dish-recipes-00417000069739/
I believe I've also seen some slow cooker mashed potato recipes.
There is a really great slow cooker recipe for a mixed vegie (california style) cheese that is delicious on Kraft's webiste. I mean knock your socks off, thank god I'm american, delicious! I just made it a couple of weeks ago, but sorry I don't have it on me. It was pretty basic though - something like: frozen bag of mixed vegies, milk, velvetta cheese. SO GOOD...yum.
I've also seen tons for mashed potatoes, chili/cheese dip, or you could even do something as simple as little smokies in bbq sauce. Everyone loves lil smokies!
Thanks for all the ideas!
I'm definitely going to be googling all day haha.
Googling and Pinteresting, anyway.
If only work would just go do itself
