two boys!!
I'm 100% shocked. I thought for sure we were having one of each. I think deep down we're a little sad to not have a girl at all but at the end of the day we're really excited.
We have to go to CHOP tomorrow because the dr. said he's concerned about Baby B's heart. He felt like the read on his heart valve fuse (whatever the heck that is) wasn't as good. He did remind us that he's looking at something extremely small right now and it might be his position but he does have some concerns. So, I never do this but all good thoughts, prayers, etc. are appreciated. (and if god forbid anyone has been through this, words of wisdom).
So it's been quite a day but we're excited about two boys!
ETA - The fact that they're boys is NOT Facebook public for those I'm friends with. We're telling our immediate family on Thanksgiving so I don't want them finding out before that! Thanks

Re: We're having...(Edited)
Congrats on two boys! I was totally feeling two girls, so I am obviously completely wrong. I'm so excited for you and E!
Prayers are definitely going out that it's nothing with Baby B. Keep us updated.
Two boys are the awesomest! Seriously -- it has only been a few weeks, but brothers are the absolute best!
In our experience with CHOP, docs are super careful, super cautious and also the absolute best. It is good they are checking it out, it may very well be nothing, and if it is something you are in the best possible hands and they more than likely can fix it.
DOUBLE THE PENISES!!!
Sorry to read about baby B but it sounds like you're in good hands at CHOP.
Congrats!
Yay! As much of a girly girl as I am, I am LOVING having a boy. And brothers are awesome.
The way I look at things like this heart situation is that I'd rather be safe than sorry, and know that the doctors are being extra cautious. My cousin's doctor had a concern about her baby's heart so she went for TONS of testing and extra U/Ss just to be safe, but everything turned out to be completely fine. I'm sure it will be the same for you!
You are going to be the cutest mom of boys! :-)
Sending good thoughts your way for tomorrow's testing... hopefully baby is just being difficult. Now you know which one will be diving off couches and giving you a run for your money ;-P
Yay for more little boys! I guessed boy and girl too.
You will be in good hands at CHOP. Thoughts and prayers coming your way.
I too am totally at peace with having a boy. I am now so excited about having a son.
Hahahaha!
OMG, I am even more excited for you guys!! I can totally picture you with two little boys. And J (and I'm sure Z) will be very excited to have two playmates!

Thanks, everyone!
I agree..CHOP is the best and I'd rather be there than anywhere else. Just a little unnerved that they even want us to go there. Can't wait to get to the appt and so thankful they could take us so quickly. I'll keep you posted.
I guess we can't call them Heidi and Hans anymore. They're now Hans and Frans!

I love this. Ha!

Anna Capri 5.4.11
The best names ever. I wouldn't expect any less.
I can't even imagine what I would do with a girl at this point because boys are so awesome and Z is so excited that Auntie Kernel and Uncle Dude are having 2 boys!
Having had to go to CHOP when the docs found an arrhythmia with Z's heart at 24 weeks, I know how nerve-wracking it is. But as everyone says, there is no other place. I had to go for a few extra u/s after a fetal echo but it was just more chances to see him rolling around in there.
And wait until MrJRM finds out they are Hans and Frans. Now you're all in trouble.
aww, yay!! I so pictured you having girls. But I guess boys are just as fun. heehee.
I hope everything goes well for baby B. I'll be thinking of you.
Yay! There are so many boys on this board! I'm also a girly-girl, I love having a boy (and I'm so excited for boy #2 to arrive in 6 or so weeks).
Feel free to msg me on FB or on here if you want to talk more about the heart stuff. Drs saw a VSD (a hole in the heart) at our 20 week ultrasound, and were referred to CHOP --- and as you probably already know, it turned out our baby boy has several complex heart defects and will require open heart surgery and lots of monitoring throughout his life. It was all a lot to take in, and a complete shock. I'm honestly still in shock and slowly coming to terms with it.
I don't want to scare you by telling you our story --- I just want to let you know that I understand how nervous you must be! Really though, chances are your baby is fine. Your doctors are just being extra cautious. Most times when people go for follow-ups, it's nothing. I have several friends who have had to do followup echos, and it turned out to be just fine. (We're just one of those ONE in 10,000 cases). But you should know that CHOP is ranked #2 in the country for its cardiac program and the surgeons there are top-ranked in the world! I can't say enough good things about them (I can go on and on).
Are you going for a fetal echo tomorrow then? Please let me know how it goes! It'll basically be a really detailed ultrasound of the baby's heart. You'll probably lay there for 45 minutes while the tech does the echo. It's difficult waiting but you can ask questions and the techs are all so nice.
Yay for BOYS!!! That is great. I am honestly so afraid of ever having a girl it isn't even funny.
Good luck with the heart stuff. We had some sort of "spot" on DS's heart at the 13 week scan that resolved itself. He also had some kidney issues that required a consult at Children's National in DC. Everything turned out to be a-okay in the end. I hope the same thing happens to you.

Congrats on Hans and Frans! That's so exciting and will make buying clothes/decorating seriously so much easier then if you had one of each!
I will keep both little guys in my prayers, esp baby B. I hope it's nothing or something that will resolve on it's own.
