I sent the director an email giving my required two weeks notice. I expressed my displeasure with the situation and how it was handled. I also informed them that tiny would be going back to his old school for the duration of the school year. (They JUST had a spot come open--how perfect is that timing?) I thanked her for the opportunity to try their program, but that ultimately it wasn't a good fit for us. I was cordial but to the point.
I am a little annoyed with myself for not going to talk with the director in person, but ultimately I feel like the only person that would have benefitted from that was her. I have no desire to feel awkward, attempt to work out a compromise (this isn't the only issue we've had with the school) or argue back and forth why it was handled correctly/incorrectly. With an e-mail I also have documentation of what I said, what she said, and that I have given the required notice as of X date. Maybe it's a cop out, but eff it, I'm too hormonal and emotional at this point to feel like I can effectively communicate the way I feel face to face. And this isn't a damn job. It's pre-k.
Anywho. There ya go.
Re: Update to the school situation:
What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!
She should read the email in the morning. I'll def update it there's a response.
I'm looking forward to hear what she has to say! I don't blame you though for jut pulling him out and no face to face. I would probably be a tad emotional too and I would be afraid my temper and frustration about the issue would come out and I'd make an asshat out of myself.
I went through something similar at JJ's former daycare, and when I finally pulled him out, I did all my communicating by email. They had proof, I had proof, and I didn't have to go back up there; I really just wanted to punch people in the face by the time we were done dealing with that blasted place. You definitely did the right thing, emailing her.
I'm glad there was an opening at his former place! I think it was meant to be.
Yes! I am so thrilled. Please tell me you liked the pre-k there for V...lol
