I might become a hermit
Sorry I haven't been around. I don't get much online time and what I did get I was spending on a pregnancy website, justmommies.com. There's a due date club for the month you're due (March 2013) and I thought it was a really nice place with nice people.
There was a girl there who was 17 and pregnant. She posted a lot about her situation and I never thought anything was odd.
Then, she posted that she was having some issues and going to the doctor.
Then, she posted that her water broke and she was going into premature labor.
Then, she got her due date buddy (something we signed up for) to announce that she'd had the baby.
Then, she came back and posted a picture of the baby...and got busted out for stealing it from another website.
She ended up confessing that she's a teenager doing research for a book she wants to write so she made up the story and alias and pretended to be pregnant.
I am absolutely sickened by this. I get why people become hermits and never leave their house and don't interact with other people.
I don't know if I can ever go back on that board again.
Sorry I've been away and I'm running back with my tail crossed between my legs now afraid of the outside internet world beyond you that I know from the knot.
Sad, sad, sad world we live in.

Sadly, that's a pretty tame troll. There was one around when I was active on JM who posted all the time and was in a mostly normal situation. I think she said she was having twins. Then she started hanging complications and suddenly get DH was in some horrible accident or something and died. Her DDC even set up a PayPal account for donations to help her out. People gave her money and gifts and everything. It was crazy. The dad of the twins that she used the pictures of found out about it and posted a couple times.
It is very sad, and sadly not uncommon. JM is great though, I'm in a FB group with the ladies from my DDC, so don't let it run you off.
