I'm reading this book and I love it!
Re: I'm reading this book and I love it!
Hi! I haven't read this book but we did the 5 love languages workshop! We had to do it for a weekend getaway with the Navy (my DH is a reservist) and it was about reconnecting after deployment... The woman was a psychology professor and a sex therapist! We had a blast.
In the end she made us write love notes to each other explaining our love languages and how we needed to be treated in certain ways to understand the language.
For example, mine came back that I needed to "hear" things like that i was loved etc, which isn't something my DH does often (he thinks that I just shoukd "know") he loves me..and so it was great to read his love letter!
It is really intersted, I read some excerpts from the book!
My Planning Bio - Update 8/5/12
I received The Five Love Languages as a bridal shower gift and read it within 2 days of receiving it! I took the online quiz and the answer didn't surprise me at all about my love languages (I have 2 primaries that go hand in hand for me).
DH didn't read the entire book, but he listened while I told him about the 5 love languages and we really thought about ours and have tried to use them to help our marriage stay strong!! I know one thing to be true though, those love languages can change quickly depending on your life situations!! Love the book though!!
