Just
venting today is my birthday, my Mom text me while she was at work. However, I
thought she would and my Dad would have called me. My MIL, FIL, and BIL called
me today to wish me a happy birthday, even my DH?s cousins called me. It just
makes me a little sad that my own Mom and Dad did not call me. Vent over
Re: Quick Vent
it can happen.
Why not call them tomorrow and go "Did you forget my birthday?" PIck the ball up on this; bet you they both plumb forgot.
I am sorry that sucks.
I forgot my mom's birthday on Monday. Course, I was working about 10 hours that day and so I legitimately "forgot" and then I forgot the next day and the next day (I'm a teacher without a planning period so I work loooooong hours most days and come home exhausted). So anyhoot, I called Saturday to ask what my parents wanted for Christmas and THEN it dawned on me that I forgot to call! And I usually am good about sending a card too, but didn't do that either. Oh well, it happens. My mom wasn't offended at all - she totally understood.
So, it happens both ways, I would just let it go and not worry about it. It's not worth getting upset about.
Thank you all, I did call her and you all were right she had a lot going on. Plus, we found out my Uncle and Aunt had to have surgery.
She also told me she would never forget my birthday.
Again, thank you all, allowing others to way in is always good.
