Recommend your bottle tan

I'm headed to a big wedding next week and I just realized how pale my arms, especially, are. I mean, translucent pale and my veins are so freakin' bright green!

So, I wanted something that would just tone that down a bit - I don't want to be orange or splotchy and I don't want to make it a big ordeal either (because I know I have to do my neck and face as well). Is this possible?!

Re: Recommend your bottle tan

  • I've tried so many and I always look streaked, I think it's because I am so pasty white to begin with!  That being said, I think I had the best luck with jergens. You can get it at target or any drugstore.

  • Thank you! I think I will be testing this out this week!

  • I've had good luck with the Jergens natural glow lotion.  You have to use it every day and it builds up the tan gradually--but it will defintely tone down the whiteness and you won't look streaky or orange.

  • I use Tan Towels and I'm pretty happy with them.  Although, it takes about 2 days for the color to show up on me instead of the 6 hours or so it says on the package.  I'm a pretty unexperienced self tanner and I've never had streaks with the tan towels.

  • I've never heard of Tan Towels - interesting! Thanks again!

  • I did the Jergens natural glow as well and liked it.

I get them on amazon but I think they sell them at sephora.

  • One of my co-workers uses Coppertone regularly and surprisingly she has the most beautiful looking tan from it.
  • I've used Jergens before and it is ok.  More recently, but still probably at least 2 or so years ago, I used Dove something or other (I don't remember what it was called, but it was in a goldish colored bottle).  I liked the Dove one a lot.
