short sale appraisal time line
Hi, I know all short sales are different, but I am just trying to get some ideas on this. The appraisal was ordered for the short sale that we have an offer in on.
i am wondering how long this took to be completed from anyone else that has been down this path?
I am anxious but have been patiently waiting. My realtor said there is no way to tell she has seen some take 2 days and others take 2 months. I just wanted to hear if anyone else has bseen through this how long it took.
Re: short sale appraisal time line
If you mean the BPO, it took us 6 weeks from the time that the BPO was ordered until we heard back from the bank.
And since the bank demanded $50k more than our final offer based on the inaccurate results of the BPO, the deal fell through. That house is still for sale, and for $6k less than what we originally offered ($21k less than our final offer).
Yes I mean the BPO. Sorry my agent was using the teminology of the bank ordered an appraisal but she meant the BPO.
Er... I was hoping that soon after it was done I would hear back.
They ordered it last week, but no one has done anything yet. Do you know how long it takes to even get someone out there?
I have been SO patient the entire time with our short sale, but i am starting to get antsy. Esp with the holidays around the corner- all our $ are holed up because we are waiting on mortgage approval on this damn house and the woman is just living there waiting for her house to sell in short sale. It's so frustrating.
