Apply or not?
I have a great job as a bookkeeper at a great company. BUT I have my Master's Degree in Childhood Education (k-6) and took the job because they are clients of my DH's company and desperately needed a bookkeeper and there were no schools hiring at the time. I've been here over a year, the people are great, the pay is.. okay, the time off is horrible, and it is not teaching.
I have been applying to teaching jobs here and there but I feel this horrible guilt about it. If I quit this job I'm nervous about affecting the relationship with my H and his client. Also, H and I are planning to TTC in January and I don't want to risk getting a teaching job if I'm due to have a baby between Sept - Dec. I know I would get maternity leave either way if I stay at my job or get a new teaching job but it's still nerve wracking to think about getting a job and being like surprise I'm pregnant!.
What do you think? Is it worth applying for teaching jobs or do I suck it up and stay where I am?

You went to school to become a teacher and that is the job you want...nothing should stand in your way.
You should not feel guilty about TTC...it may be easy for you, it may not. You cannot put your life on hold for it. What if it takes you a year or more? Are you going to wait another 2-3 years to start the career you studied/paid good money to go to school for/ and want?
You need to follow your heart, everything else will fall into place whether or not you get pregnant on your first try or your tenth try.
