What do you wear for holidays?
Bored at work! My husband and I have different ideas of what is ok to wear to holiday dinners. What do you wear?
I think dressy jeans with boots/nice shoes and a nice top/sweater is appropriate. He always says jeans are not appropriate. If we go to my family, I wear nice jeans. If we go to his, I wear dress pants. Both, get the same tops, shoes and jewelry.

I guess we are way too casual because the thought of wearing dress pants never crossed my mind.
DH would be jeans and a t-shirt and I'm usually jeans and a sweater... things we would wear on the regular. We're not too fancy I guess.
We also dressed up when we were little. Now my family is very casual. I try to always wear a dress but I prefer dresses.
My h's family is even more casual.
Ditto! I wasn't sure if my family was just lazy or what...glad to see it's the other way around. :-)
We wear jeans too. Typically we all get a little more "dressed" than normal. Like maybe a nicer shirt or more jewelry or something but its certainly not frowned upon to wear whatever you would wear any other day.
I plan to wear jeans, a blouse and a cardigan tomorrow just bc I bought a bunch of new clothes this past week and I want to sport something new!
My little nuggets
Christmas Eve is our only really dressy holiday. I usually wear a skirt or dress if we celebrate with DH's family, but more casual if we are with mine. Easter is also a little more dressy with my family. I usually wear something I would wear to work.
I always thought my family was way too casual also. We usually just wear jeans and a nice sweater or top.
