Is this week over yet??

It's been one for the record books around here:)

Let me preface this by saying that DH and I only had 1 car since we've moved here. we were planning to wait until after the holidays to deal with looking, etc. Also a preface: in case anyone isn't aware, we're living with my parents. So, in the house: DH & I & Amelia(1 car), my parents(2 cars) and my little sister(1 car). And my little brother was home from college last week for Thanksgiving(also doesn't have his own car).

Here's how the week went down:

-Saturday night: My brother totalled mom's car at 1am - he's fine.

-Monday morning: My dad had surgery to have his prostate removed - he has cancer. Should have had the davinci surgery, but they had to open him up and do it, so he stayed at the hospital.

-Tuesday night: Dad had a minor heart attack at the hospital. it's not caught until...

-Wednesday: The doctors realize he had a heart attack and try to tell him he needs surgery immediately. My mom(a nurse) goes in to find out more, etc and they catheterize him to check for clots and he doesn't have any. Just 1 fully blocked artery and another that's 50-60% blocked. Good news because it could have been much worse. They decide that he can wait a few weeks until he recovers some more from this surgery and have his bypass surgery then.

-Also Wednesday(and earlier in the week): DH buys a "new" car so that he has one to go back and forth and mine is here with me and I'm not stuck at home all day anymore.

-Thursday morning: I go with DH to work to pick up his new car and drive mine home while he drives the new one to work. On my way home, my little sister calls me to tell me that she just got in an accident and she's ok, but her car is probably totaled.

-Today: I know that i'll need to pick up my dad at some point, he's being discharged today. Mia and I go to the mall, notice that my tire looks funny. Drive home - it's worse. Call DH and send him a picture, but we think it's ok. My dad gets a flower delivery and the delivery guy says to me, "Um - do you know that your back tire is basically flat??" Sh!t.  Thank goodness the neighbor works from home and is super nice. He comes and checks it out - finds something stuck in it, but thinks it's ok. Fills it with air for me and just as he finishes - dad calls to say he's ready to be picked up. (So I needed a few prayers to get me to the hospital and back without my tire blowing!). Thanks for all of the thoughts everyone:)

Oy. I am BEAT. Anyone have a virtual glass of wine for a pregnant lady?? I could SO use one tonight!!

I'm sorry for all of the accidents and car trouble.  Your poor siblings, that is so scary to go through to begin with, but just awful to have it happen so close together.  I'm glad they are both ok!
