digital camera!
I think we did this once - recently? - but I can't remember and I can't find it so I'm sorry 
Anyway, my MIL has had the same digital camera since cameras were created and I think it's finally really to retire. SIL and I want to get her a new camera for Christmas. Neither of us know anything about cameras. I have a camera that H got me years ago and it works fine but I never remember I have it so I rarely use it.
I know some of you *cough JANET cough* take a lot of pictures so I'm wondering what kind you have and what kind you would recommend. It doesn't have to be a high quality, photographer-grade camera. She mainly uses it to to take a lot of pictures of family events.

We have this one and love. The best is that its waterproof which is a must with kids IMO so depends on how much MIL will be around Teddy it may be something to consider. Its nice to take it in the water at a pool, ocean or simply not having to worry about anything spilling on it on or a baby spitting up on it.

I have a Canon Power Shot Elph 310 HS and I love it. Mana has one, too, and playing around with hers is how I settled on getting one for myself after my old camera broke. I had been going to different stores and playing with all of their cameras, but I was having trouble making a decision. It's so hard to get a feel for a camera when it's attached to the counter with that cord thingy!
