The only good deal I found on Friday was half off prelit garland at Kmart. Other than that, I was just buying stuff at regular price. In fact, at Target they raised the price on their Furbys $5! I didn't go out until 9:30 a.m. though, and apparently that's late in the world of Black Friday shopping.
On Saturday, Learning Express had 20% off and I was able to use our AmEx for an additional $25 credit, so that actually was a good deal I felt! And Joanne's had 60% off, but I feel like they run that special every other week.
I'm not necessarily even looking for anything else, but I hate to pass up a good deal if it's out there
Compared to years past, nope, I haven't seen anything fantastic. I took advantage of the TRU online special last weekend when they did BOGO on LeapPad games- normally, $25/piece, they were marked down on top of the BOGO and I got 4 for $38.
Don't forget to use ebates when shopping online; most places are doing double % back today. I plan to head over to JCP online and check them out because of this (and the deals you ladis mentioned).
The only thing I don't like about them with all of JCP's changes this past year is that they take forever to process and ship now. I placed an order on 11/16 and they didn't even process it until 11/21. As of yesterday, my order was in Columbus - and I'm waiting on one specific thing that I need before I leave town on Thursday! Frustrating.

Ditto. I ordered on kohls on Thursday actually and it was the in store prices plus had 20% off code. I looked and the things I ordered are either sold out or more expensive now.
personally I am not impressed. Seems the sales are the usual sales. Like Ann Taylor is having 40% off which sounds good but I feel like they were just having a 40% off sale.
Hey! It's great if you do a lot of online shopping - you get a certain percentage back (in check) from your purchases. Since this time last year, I have received back over $75. They also just added ebay and Amazon as retailers.

I'm bummed b/c i ordered things last Friday with discounts but got emails this morning that everything was 30% vs 25 or 15%. So much for black friday. Also, I should have got the build a bear stuff b/c its no longer on sale today - grrr!

I ordered C's Christmas dresses off of Macy's today. They were marked down on Friday, but were cheaper today. They also had sweaters, BOGO so I got two for my mom. They also lowered free shipping to $75 (usually $99) so I was happy overall.
