So how bad were we all last week? B/c I was terrible but I'm owning it and I enjoyed every bit of my long weekend/vacation. Let's hear it!

  • Well, given Thanksgiving dinner and our first trip away from the kids in 5 years, I think I could have done worse. I weighed in today just .2 lbs over where I was last Wednesday, so I consider that mostly a success. I did zero exercise, ate and drank a ton, and enjoyed every minutes. 

    And now, back to reality. We are in the midst of financial disaster, working with attorneys, and my mental health is a MESS. But last night I just sat on my couch, watched TV and worked on a baby blanket, because I just needed to step back from it all. Today it's all back in my face and I hate it, but am just trying to take things one step at a time. One step at a time.

  • I made it to yoga last night. I was the only one there (besides the instructor). She opens each class with everyone introducing themselves and saying what's going on in their pregnancy, and I sort of ended up unloading on her. I usually go weekly, but haven't made it in 3 weeks so she knew things must have been busy. It was nice to talk to someone in person about switching doctors so late in pregnancy. DH knows why I did it, but he doesn't really understand the anxiety I had/have associated with the whole situation. I feel so much better, both physically and emotionally, today. I finally wrote a long letter to my old OB about leaving. That felt good, too.

    DH is starting to freak out about having another baby. I've been the anxious one, and now that December starts on Saturday, he's hit his "omg, this is really happening" moment. Hopefully we can both keep it together to make progress on our to-do lists before this LO makes his/her debut. We have been doing really well lately, even on weeknights.

  • I have been feeling kind of "off" lately. I starting reading up on dosha and that I am a kapha and how when you have too much you feel sluggish and full and that's how I feel. So I think excerc iseand eating light is in the cards for me. Though not tonight... my mom made eggplant and we are going over to eat. But starting tomorrow!  And I'm trying to keep soups at work to keep me from eating more than my fair share when it's 3:30 and I haven't eaten anything all day and I am starving! Other than that its been pretty bad, I've been trying to walk a lot but I haven't really been getting out as much as I want. My favorite food blogger, Gina at skinnytaste is challenging herself just to run ONE mile a day. Because One is better htan none. So I may hop on that train probably walking/jogging at least a mile a day!
  • Weight is barely budging, but then again so am I... I so desperately need to remedy this! Wish I lived closer to my sister so that I could join in on some of her crazy workouts. She's doing phenomenal with her weight loss, and has totally transformed her body! I need to bottle her motivation and get cracking!
