I am so sad.
Pity party below -
My sister and her husband are on there way up to the cities where I live. They live about 4 hrs away. They are coming up as BIL has a test for work in the morning.
I was suppose to meet her for dinner but her hotel is 40 minutes away across the street from a big arena where one of our sports team plays and there is a game tonight. And it's snowing and my husband is still at work.
So, I can drive all the way over in the snow by myself and try to find parking which will probably cost $20+ if I can even find it.
So, I probably won't see her until tomorrow. 
And when I see her it will probably only be for a couple hrs at most as they need to drive back.
I am so bummed.

Update - last night didn't work so, we went to the Mall of America to shop and got our nails done.
It was lots of fun - I wish we would have had more time.
After Christmas it will be hard to plan get togethers in the Midwest with the weather.

I know I'm the one who moved away from my family, but it would be nice if just one of them came down for a visit every once in awhile. The last time anyone visited us was for our wedding (1 1/2 years ago now). It was nice to make them drive down to us for once.
Oh I understand! I am the one who moved away from Iowa - I drive down there 95% of the time. Christmas will be the tour of Iowa as we hit all the families!
