  We just went there on Sunday! We stayed two days (Sun-Mon) and went b/c we got a very cheap deal for hotel stay and four two day passes. We stayed at the EconoLodge, which is located across the street. But I wouldn't stay there again because of it's inconvenience (you either have to shuttle over there or cross a busy, busy highway to get there. We actually drove to/from the hotel to the park). I would highly recommend one of the ones that are connected to the waterpark itself. I think the Holiday Inn and Marriot are the ones that are connected. It makes it MUCH easier to go back and forth. I heard that GWL is awesome. My kids are 3 and 5 and though they had fun at Splash Lagoon- I heard GWL might have been more appropriate for their ages, but I have no idea and didn't compare. I also heard Caliharri (sp?) is awesome too. If you call Splash Lagoon- they can tell you all the deals they have and give you a hotel/park pass combo price. We actually saw a flier in our local Clipper paper and that is how we learned of it. Seriously it was so cheap for us to go that I still can't get over it...

  i just took my niece and her little friend there for her birthday.  i was seriously impressed with that place!!  they had a freaking blast (they are 11).  I agree with the pp - stay on the same side of Peach St - otherwise it's a pain to get to with any ease.  that area is very congested.

  i've stayed at the marriott courtyard right there and it was very nice/clean/standard marriott.

  great Wolf is perfect for 3 and 5.  I think age 7 and under is perfect Great Wolf ages.  Kalahari is awesome but it definitely has more for older kids and adults as we did weekend getaways there without kids.
