We are wanting to have another couple over for dinner. I'm thinking about making homemade lasagna. I would also do garlic bread. Normally, I would do a garden salad, but DH's friend doesn't like garden salads, so I don't really want to make it for just the 3 of us then. Do you think lasagna and garlic bread is enough, or should I add something else? If so, what?
Thanks!

Cole slaw?, I love it with lasagne.
Or I would saute' spinach with garlic in olive oil. I
always use frozen spinach, so easy.

I would also do a salad, because that really goes best with lasagna (more so than another veggie, although I would do a veggie before I would not have anything else on the side).
I have seen people serve a salad without mixing it. Like have the lettuce in the big salad bowl and then have small dishes or bowls with things to mix in separately (the tomatoes, onions, croutons etc). That way people can choose what they want/don't want in their salad. Maybe your friend can build a salad he actually would like?
