I cannot get my grout in bathroom clean!!! HELP

I have scrubbed and scrubbed, used many things for it and since I moved into his house I am unable to get the grout in the bathroom clean... I can get parts of it better, but never clean... Does anyone have any magical tips that work wonders for them?? I am open to anything... THANKS!!!

It is supposed to be almost white, a very very light grey. I have tried bleach, vinegar, baking soda, nothing works. I have scrubbed and it just won't come clean. I tried the bleach and it seems like it made it worse... I hve tried a few spray cleaners, but those too seemed like they made it worse. I guess vinegar worked best...

Maybe a vinegar, dawn, water solution? My go to when vinegar doesn't work I use Lysol mold and mildew with bleach.

If its not looking clean but you know it's clean you could apply new grout to get a clean look. Or when you're satisfied with the way it looks and the cleanliness re seel the grout.

I read on This Old House that a steam cleaner will clean ALL grout. Haven't tried it yet though.

Hydrogen peroxide is the solution! Mix 1/2 cup with 1 cup water. If that isnt strong enough, add some baking soda and salt to make a paste to clean with. Then rinse.

Bleach can turn grout yellow.

I ran into that situation with an apartment I rented once. What I did was got a container of Oxi-clean powder, mixed it with just a little bit of water, not enough to disolve it, make it kind of like a grout substance.. Then I put gloves on to save my hands from the abrashiveness of the powder.Use your hands and put the mixture over your tiles like you would if you were grouting it so it gets into all the corners. Let it set overnight, rinse off the next morning with hot water if possible. I did this & ended up with original white grout again & no chemical smells either. It did take time and effort, but it worked & I liked not having any chemical smells. I did get grout sealer afterwards and with a small art brush I sealed all the grout again to help make sure that it would stay white for a while to come.

I've tried everything for grout, and this is what I found that finally works....

Spray Tilex fairly heavily on one section of the grout. Wait about 5-10 minutes to sit, then take a grout scrub brush and scrub. Then take a bucket with hot water and a tiny bit of dish soap and a sponge or towel to use to rinse the floor you have scrubbed. Repeat on another small section, changing the water frequently.

Takes awhile, but works like a charm!

I had they same thing just solved it today in fact use really any disenfectint cleaning spray or vinager if u prefer but scrub it with not a stell brush but a very very firm nail scruber type thing with brisols like a tooth brush u will still have to scrub for a while but if u foucs on the grout it with lightn and look way better dont forget about the elbow gress it make all the difference
