Hi! I'm doing ok. I'm almost 35 weeks...hoping to keep this little guy in as long as possible. I'm pretty tired and sore by the end of the day. I kind of feel like I did the day after running a half marathon.
We're pretty prepared at home. I've been in major nesting mode! Maybe I'll post some pics of the nursery on here once it's done. The only thing we have left to do is hang the curtains.
We're all set up with CHOP to deliver there. I'll keep you updated on how he's doing and when his heart surgery will be...just hoping/praying everything goes smoothly (I'm sure it will). I've been having lots of ultrasounds so it's fun to see his face...from what I can tell he looks a lot like Oliver.
Um yes I want to see the nursery.
I'm like 19-21 weeks every u/s has given a differnet date. Awesome?
Had the a/s on Monday and everything looked good. Still team green. I didn't have the a/s with m so I wasn't sure what was going to go down but with my csection and where my placenta is they want to make sure I'll be good to tolac/vbac.
HeatherWain: that would be great. I'll PM you my name, too. We'll be spending a lot of time there soon!

Not a problem at all. Do you want me to give you her name now? I think I said above but she works the weekends. However, she's been there for yearsssssssssss and years and years so I know she knows just about everyone on that floor.
ETA: And wow - you are 20 weeks? 1/2 way (or probably more than half way) there for you! How did this happen so fast!?

oh and Esyn- I replied back to you again about the dr. Apparently he's the best in the country at what he does so hopefully that gives you some peace of mind in that aspect.

I'm happy for you!!! Let us know how it all goes. We were "team green" last time and it was a lot of fun.
Esyn and Kernal, there was a former nestie named danalynnrd who is a registered dietitian in the CHOP NICU. She's super nice and has always been helpful when I've asked her questions about nutrition for my daughter. We are fb friends and I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you guys wanted to touch base before you give birth.
i remember her! i sold her vases (or something?) for her wedding when i was done with mine. if you can get us in touch that would be great.

Sure thing. I reached out to her. You might see me at CHOP, incidentally, as I'll be doing my pediatrics rotation there from jan-may. Not sure if I'll be in any of the areas where you and the boys will be but I'll keep my eyes out.
I wouldn't mind reaching out to her, too. I'll be there for a couple weeks (at least) starting in late-Dec/early-Jan (whenever I deliver), and then again in April/May when they do the open heart surgery. We'll be mainly in the CICU. I think I only met you once in person (I was probably drunk at one of the big GTGs a while back). But it would be nice to see a "familiar" face while we're there.
I spoke to her yesterday and she said she'd be totally willing to chat with both of you. I sent Kernal her info last night, perhaps Kernal can send it to you?
I won't be at CHOP until later January but I will definitely reach out when my placement starts. I don't know yet where I'll be rotating but I'll do anything I can to support you girls and all of your guys, even if it's just to check in over a cup of coffee!
