Bored on this Friday night!

Anyone here? DH's friend came over, and they decided to put up his work bench in the garage. This thing is a masterpiece. It's a workbench and shelving along one entire wall of the garage. He built it when we lived at the other house, and he built it to come apart for whenever he moved. So, I'm doing nothing. Need to get up and clean the kitchen...what fun of a Friday night! :-)

  • My chorus kids had a performance last night in the town's winter festival. They all showed up, we walked through the crowds to the stage, and then we find out there was no sound system. Nowhere to play our music, no microphones to hear the kids. I had been going to weekly planning meetings for this event and each week we asked about the sound system and they said they would have it.

I sent the kids home. I felt horrible, but they were not ready to be in that sort of situation. We've never performed in public before and they were still shaky on our music. I had to explain what happened to all their parents and although they were pissed, thankfully they agreed.

It was awful. One girl cried. It was tough not showing how upset I was. I will probably bring the kids cupcakes or something on Monday since they worked so hard to get ready.
