Grandma Christmas gift

We do Secret Santa among all the adults on my mom's side of the family and this year I got my grandma! I'm excited to get her a gift but I have no clue what to get. Any grandma gift ideas? My only idea is to sew a needlepoint picture and fram it but I don't know if I have time so I need plan B ideas =)

Re: Grandma Christmas gift

  • I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it would be cute for a Christmas present. You could use all the grandchildrens names (if there aren't a ton) and put it in a nice frame. You could probably find someone on Etsy that makes these or you can buy the letters online. http://pinterest.com/pin/210613720043989181/

  • Not sure if this helps but last year kind of last minute we were told we needed to get his grandmother a gift (we aren't close with her.) Anyways we went to Walmart where they have all the gift set type stuff and got her one that was like summer sausage and chesse on a cutting board. You could always find some sort of gift set. I know I have seen Starbucks/hot chocolate type ones or even a bath or perfume set. Those are always good gifts for people you aren't sure about. Also I do like the frame idea or any thing really that has all grandchildrens names on them I think are good.

Cute idea! My grandma loves to bake (yup, she's one of those grandma's that ALWAYS has cookies, still, even after all of us are well into adulthood now!), anyway, last year I got her some new baking pans and baking goodies. Bonus: she made them and brought them over to our house to eat!!!
  • I'm of no help- I wasn't sure about mine either, so I asked her what she wanted. Woman tells me she wants an iPad. So technologically challenged she can barely turn her VCR (yes- VCR) on, but she's asking me for a $500 piece of technology she will never understand for Christmas.

I'm going to watch this post to (hopefully) steal ideas ;)

  • Thanks for the great ideas! I realized that over Thanksgiving weekend all of her granddaughters (all seven of us!)  took a picture together so I'm going to make her a picture frame with this picture =)
