My parents used to be friends with a couple but they haven't spoken to them in probably 10 years. I never really liked the couple but the husband's mom always took a special interest in me and my sisters and I she always felt sort of like a grandmother to me. Since I've started sending Christmas cards I've always sent one to her. She had been living with her son and his wife but she recently went to live in a nursing home. I couldn't remember if the address I have for her was for the nursing home or her son's house so I googled the address to see if the name of a nursing home came up. Instead I found an announcement for a sheriff's sale that happened this past October. Apparently it was her son's address and his house was foreclosed on.

Whoa, that is awkward.
You can call the receptionist at the nursing home, explain you want to sent her a card and ask how to address it.
I don't even know what nursing home it is. I'm sure my mom has her address though, I emailed her asking for it.
Gotcha!
