Interior window washing

Hello! This question may be too basic, but how do you all wash your windows--what material do you use--for me paper towels leave "lint" and regular towels aren't absorbent enough. I've done newspaper in the past, but even that seems streaky....

Suggestions? Thanks!

Sometimes it depends on what your cleaning agent is- and even how much you spray on. I usually do one spray per two and a half square feet of window and it cleans just fine using paper towels. And i like using the half warm water half vinegar formula but not every one in the house likes the smell so some times I just get a cleaning agent form the dollar store and use that. If you have kids, I don't yet, the half and half version might be safer.

When I worked at the deli and the bagel shop we used coffee filters. They worked really well, actually!

Coffee filters? Sounds like a good idea, I'll try it.

I love using vinegar for cleaning, so I'll try the 1/2 and 1/2 + coffee filters.

We use microfiber cloths. I've got one specifically for glass that is microfiber on one side and chamois on the other. Honestly I rarely use the chamois side, so I probably would just buy plain microfiber cloths going forward.

I use paper towels but I clean the windows with ammonia and water. It never streaks. I tend to buy "cheaper" paper towels that are stifer and not as soft, because they don't have as much fluff. Like the kind you get in the bathroom of a public restroom...the brown ones.
