So last week we bought a house...
and this week we're finding oncologist for my hubs. Brings new meaning to life can turn on a dime. We meet with the first oncologist on Monday at Paoli, and will hopefully get to Fox Chase later next week. Anyone else have any other places we should consider?

Re: So last week we bought a house...
T, have you reached out to Hilary? She's back on facebook.
And you know, if you need anything or I can help at all. Don't hesitate.
xo
oh T-Money. I'm so very sorry to hear this. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. My dad was at FCCC and the staff there were absolutely wonderful. My dad's doctor would call my mom back in the middle of the night and was there for my parents pretty much 24/7. I don't have anything bad to say about the experience we had there.
Now onto the house... CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so very happy for you and your family.
I'm sure this is a very stressful time for you guys but you are such an amazing and strong woman. You've been through a lot in the past so there's no doubt you guys can get through this as well. Please let me know if you need anything. Love ya!
My little nuggets
Thank you...i'm still just kinda in a haze of disbelief. But truly and sincerely appreciate your thoughts and prayers, we'll take all we can get!
We're still waiting on the official pathology report, but preliminary reports are its a large (14cm) anterior mediastinal lymphoma (possibly t-cell). He was symptomatic with cough, chills, fever and night sweats. From onset of symptoms to diagnosis was about a month
T, I am thinking of you and your family.

UPenn has some great thoracic oncologists and surgeons. I cannot say enough about the cancer treatment my family has had there. They have some great cutting edge robotics and are doing some really cool immunology based treatments. If you need a name or to get in there please shoot me an email and I will see what I can do. I am pretty sure I can get you in quickly.
I am so sorry to hear about your Husband
I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers...
I do not have any personal experience, but I can say that Penn seems to be pretty amazing as far as Oncology goes, I was super impressed with the department while doing my MRI internship in Oncology, they have some awesome equipment and people working there. My former co-worker also had breast cancer treatment there and says nothing but good things about it too!
Also one of my good friends from Xray school just got a job as a Radiation Therapist at Jeff so if you have any questions, she may be able to help...
Hoping and praying for a speedy recovery! xo
WTF seriously? Ti, I literally said that out loud. So sorry to hear about the hubs, cancer freakin sucks. Good vibes and lots of prayers heading your way.
And congrats on the house, next GTG at Ti's house!

Tiana, I am so sorry to hear that. I can't even imagine. I went to Fox Chase in my early twenties because I had a rare lymph node disease that is not cancer but mimics lymphoma and that was the only hospital in the area that had a doctor who had ever treated it before. My whole experience there was fantastic, I have nothing but good things to say about every person from receptionists right to the doctors.
I wish you guys the best of luck and I will keep you in my prayers.
