Need thoughts and prayers

My little guy is so sick and has been through a lot, I could use any positive thoughts and prayers sent our way.

On Friday he started with a fever and it kept spiking as high as 104.6 on Saturday. I almost took him to the ER but we got in to see the Dr. on Sunday morning. She said he has an ear infection and likely has roseola, which is a high fever followed by a rash. She gave us a prescription for amoxicillin and said to look for the rash.

He had the fever for 3 days and then last night started with the rash. This morning he had it all over his back, chest, and neck. He wouldn't nap, was irritable, and seemed like he was in pain. Then he had diarrhea and when I changed him his butt was bright red and irritated. I took him back to the Dr. and she said he has a yeast infection from the antibiotic, and that he may be having an allergic reaction to it. She said that the ear infection looked worse than it was Sunday and gave us a new antibiotic for that and a cream for the yeast infection. She also said to give him baby benadryl and see if the rash improved so we would know if it was roseola or an allergic reaction.

I haven't gotten more than a few hours of sleep at a time since Saturday and the stress of having a sick baby and no sleep are really wearing on me. I am hoping and praying that this new antibiotic will work quickly to clear up the ear infection and the cream will kick the yeast infection. :-(
